A leap year is a year which have 366 days. In a leap year month February has 29 days. It occurs after every four years.

Leap year occurs because the Earth actually take 365.25 days (365 days 6 hours) to complete one revolution around the Sun.

So after every 4 years this extra 6 hours combine to form 24 hours means an extra day.

That's why leap year occurs after every four years.

Hope it helps.

here is your answer HOPE IT HELPS YOU follow me .

a leap year is a leap year having 366 days instead of 365 days our a text 365 days and six hours to take one Revolution around the sun there for after 4 years the extra hour take one day which is added to year hence it is leap year .

the simple reason for leap year is that the Earth revolves around the sun in approximately 365. 25 days and so to make sure that a calendar year is the same as a tropical here there needs to be an extra day added every four years but then even that doesn't make the calendar accurate so that's another rules that year which are divisible by hundred have to be also divided by 400 for it to be a leap year .
