A linear resistor is also known as Ohmic resistors. In reality a linear resistor is a type of resistor that adheres to the linear voltage and current relationship based on the formulations and theories of Ohms laws.
A great example of a linear resistor are the color coded resistors that are in common use in the laboratories. There are several other such examples of linear resistors.
