A litmus paper is a paper that is made of litmus. It is a natural indicator of acidity or alkalinity of a solution . It is a lichen of the group thallophyta . It's original colour is purple. If the solution is acid then the litmus paper turns red and if the solution is basic the litmus paper turns blue . In a neutral solution the litmus paper remains purple .

Hope this helps !

it is an indicator in which to detect whether the present solution is acid or base
if the ph value of the solution is 0-7 then it is acid
if the ph value of the solution is more than 7 it is base
it can be found in litmus paper according to the colour
the litmus paper changes blue to red if it is acid
the litmus paper changes red to blue if it is base

HOPE THIS HELPS U!!!!!!!!
