A magnet is a piece of iron that has a property to attract iron or iron made substances.
It has two poles North pole and South Pole.

-:Features of a magnet :-

1) If we heat or beat a magnet then it's magnetic property decreases.

2) If we break a magnet into smaller and smaller pieces each piece will have have a complete magnet having two poles.
Thus , a magnet having a single pole never exist.

3) A magnet always magnetises the other objects capture in contact.
