Main Document :-
This document contains the common content that need to be sent to multiple recipients. For example, a letter.
Data Source :-
This is the document that contain all the varying data that need to be inserted into ( merged) the main document. For example, name address, city etc. This could be table in MS word or a data set in a spreadsheet like MS Excel .
Merged Document :-
This if the final document which contain the copies of the main document with varying data from the data source inserted at the desired location in the main content.
