The main objective of the Ryot sabha are as follows:
1) By the end of 19th century, Tezpur Ryot sabha at Darrang district and Nagaon ryot Sabha in Nawgaon where established to resolve the problem faced by the peasants.
2) The Ryot Sabha raised its voice against the newly introduced land settlement in Assam by the conical state. Abolition of grazing tax, reduction of land tax, and to ban the Migration of peseants from East Bengal.

Answer:the main objective of ryot sabhas is to form a central committee. This sabha play important role to resolve the problems faced by the peasants. Some of the major role played by the sabha are:-
1) the ryat sabha raised its voice against the newly introduced land settlement in assam by colonial state.
2) it demanded for the abolition of grazing tax, reduction of land tax,and to ban the migration of peasants from east Bengal.
3) during the period civil disobedience movement , the sabha demanded for the reduction of land tax by 50%.
