Zinc is more reactive than iron, hence when added' to iron (11) sulphate, it can displace iron metaliand the colour of solution fades from green to colourless due to formation of zinc sulphate. reaction 1 opposite is done Copper does not react with dilute sulphuric acid. So, no reaction takes place when dilute sulphuric acid is poured on a copper plate. But when concentrated sulphuric acid is poured over copper plate, effervescence is observed.
