the rocks are the homogeneous substances which are called minerals. you may see that scientists say minerals "homogeneous naturally occurring substance with a definable internal structure"

only a few unreactive metals like gold ,silver and platinum are found as a free metals in the earth's crust other occur in combined states as minerals
