Mixed Gland:

A gland that exhibits both endocrine and exocrine activities are termed as mixed gland, pancreas serves as a great example for a mixed gland.

An endocrine gland is a gland that secrete substances that gets mixed and travels with the blood such as the hormone. An Exocrine gland secretes substances outside the body such as sweat, enzymes, and mucous.

Pancreas secrete insulin (hormone) and enzymes that breakdown food (proteins and carbohydrates) during digestion.
