the reactions between an acid and a base to give a salt and water is known as neutralisation reaction. For example
2KOH + H2SO4 -----> K2SO4 + H2O
NaOH + HCl ----> NaCl + H2O

We have been given a question and we need to answer it appropriately.

The question given to us is that what is a neutralization reaction.

The answer to the question is that when an acid and a base react with each other and produces salt, the reaction is known as a neutralization reaction.

For example: 2KOH + H2SO4 -----> K2SO4 + H2O and NaOH + HCl ----> NaCl + H2O.
