A package means a complete version of an application software installed on your computer, phone etc....

For example,

• The MS Office package consists of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Publisher etc....
• The Adobe package consists of photoshop, flash etc....

....and so on....

So, these were some examples of a package.

Other common examples are:

• Visual Studio
• VLC media player
• Mobirise
• Blue Stacks

......and the list goes on....

Package is defined as a peripheral module/feature/functionality that can be added alongside of any program.

• In terms of hardware:-

Package refers to as a container that contains all the parts combined. Example: The computer processor consists of all the parts required for the working of a system.

 Example: ms-office is a software that has sub software applications/modules  like:

1. ms-word
2. ms-powerpoint
3. ms-excel
4. and so on
