Some properties of parallel lines are given below :--
- The perpendicular distance between two parallel lines remains the same the same throughout.
- Two line segments are parallel if the corresponding lines determined by them are parallel.
- Two parallel lines can never intersect each other even if they are produced indefinitely in either direction.
- Two lines are parallel if the alternate angles formed by their transversal are equal.
- Two lines are parallel if the opposite angles formed by their transversal sum up to 180°.
