Indian peninsula is surrounded by Arabian sea on the west, Bay of Bengal on the east and Indian ocean on the south. It is formed by the states of (East to west) West Bengal, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Tamilnadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra and Gujarat.

A peninsular is a place which is surrounded in it's 3 sides by water. Look at the map of India. On the East ,right from West Bengal, down to Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu, you get Bay of Bengal. On the west, you get the Arabian Sea down till Kerala . The both seas meet at Kanyakumari at the southern tip. India is, in fact ,the largest peninsular of the world.
