a number whose square root is a while number is called whole number.

for example square root 4 = 2

so, 4 is a perfect number but square root 3 is not a perfect number since its square root is not a whole number.

No, it is not necessary that all perfect numbers are even .

for example 9 is a perfect number but it is odd.
