Submarines have periscopes so that people inside can what is on the surface of the water. A periscope is a useful example of the law of reflection at work. It's important that yourmirrors are placed at a 45° angle, because light always reflects away from a mirror at the same angle that it hits it.

periscope is an object used to see any object without looking at that directly. it is based upon the reflection property of the mirror.
it is mostly used by the Navy ships.
two mirrors are used in the Periscope both are placed straight above each other in an inclined plane so that when light passes through the first mirror it directly gets reflected to the second one and image can be seen clearly.
