hola frnd it's ur answer ......
My knowledge about this topic is somewhere limited but I would like to share whatever I know.
There comes a period during weight loss, where we stop seeing any change at all in our weight, that phase is plateau period.
Now weight loss is actually sum of three losses one is fat loss, another is water loss and third is muscle loss.
The fastest we loose is the retained water, so during initial phase of our weight loss journey we experience quick drop in our weight, fat loss is rather slow and decelerates with time. And then we reach to plateau period. Reason may be that we have reached close to our ideal body weight ( every body is designed to work optimally on a particular weight ). So we stop seeing any substantial change.
Another reason could be; that over a period of time our body adapt our workout routine and calories intake, so the workout and diet do not work as effectively as it used to be.
Slow metabolism can be the another reason, as we loose weight our metabolism to burn fat also comes down..
Now to break to plateau period one should try to change the workout routine and lower the amount of calories intake and must try a complete new plan.
Hope it helps.
