Zymogen is called a proenzyme.

Proenzymes are involved in the digestion process. Four main digestive enzymes are Proteases and Peptidases, Lipases, Nucleases, Amylases.

Enzymes like pepsin is in the form of pepsinogen, an inactive zymogen. Pepsinogen is active when released the cells into the gastric acid.

Trypsin acts with other proteinases to break down protein into peptides and amino acids.
