Protocol -

A protocol is a set of rules or standards design to enable computers to be connected with one another and to exchange information among them with very little error.

The most common protocol is TCP/IP.

TCP/IP has two major component.

1. Transmission control protocol (TCP)

2. Internet protocol. (IP).
