Answer:

a redox reaction is a reaction in which both oxidation and reduction happen simultaneously..

1 MnO2 is reduced to MnCl2 and HCl is oxidised to Cl2

2 CuO is reduced to Cu and H2 is oxidised to H2O....

Answer:

redox reaction is a reaction in which O2 is reduced and oxidation takes place

in 1st reaction (i) Cu is oxidising agent and it undergoes reduction and H2 is reducing agent but it is not oxidesed as O2 was already with it it

and similarly in (ii)Mn is oxidising agent and it undergoes reduction and H2 is oxidised and it is reducing agent .

hope it helps you
