Answer:

Reflex Action

A reflex, or reflex action, is an involuntary and nearly instantaneous movement in response to a stimulus. A reflex is made possible by neural pathways called reflex arcs which can act on an impulse before that impulse reaches the brain.

Stimulus --> receptor organ --> sensory nerve --> spinal cord --> effector organ --> responce.

Answer:

A reflex action is an involuntary and nearly instantaneous movement in response to a stimulus. Now the steps involved in reflex action are:

1)Receptors detect a stimulus (change in the

environment). 2) Sensory neurone send

signal to relay neurone. 3) Motor neurone

send signal to effector. 4) Efector produces

the desired response.
