A reflex arc is a nerve pathway that takes place in a reflex action, including at its simplest a sensory nerve and a motor nerve with a synapse between.

Tennis ball( to receive the stimulus)

                         ↓

Sensory neurons of a spinal nerve carrys the stimulus to spinal cord.

                         ↓

Spinal cord converts the stimulus to appropriate command to the motor neurons.

                         ↓

Motor neurons of spinal nerve converts motor command to effector

                          ↓

Effectors help in the movement of the muscle.
