Reserved constituencies are those constituencies in which seats are reserved for SCs and STs on the basis of their population.

The constitution makers felt that weaker sections may not be able to stand in elections due to lack of resources like education etc or might be because of other influential and stronger party. So the weaker sections will not be able to participate as mla or more thus excluding the weaker section of society which is important in our country thus if they are excluded our country will not be considered democratic totally cause it violence right to equality and liberty.
