Rhetorical question:

  • Rhetorical questions are asked without an expectation for a real answer.
  • These questions are self-evident and have obvious answers which do not need to be specific.
  • The person who is asking a rhetorical question already knows the answer and do not demand any answers.

For example:

Are you happy?

Yes, why not?

It’s raining heavily today, isn’t it?

How can I be this sad regarding this silly matter?
