Router:

- They are made up of mixture of hardware and software.
- The network address helps in Routers to determine the best route to a computer or a device.
- Router use the conceptual and practicle address to link two or more techically different network.
Repeater:
- The Repeater is used to link the LAN segments.
- A repeater fronts any packet that has no sporting ability.
- Repeater don't recognize frames, files and headers. They recognize the signs the represent bits like voltage.
- They are anlog device that use signals on the wires to whom they are attached.
