Router:

router is a communication device that is used to connect two different networks such as to Alliance for w a n it chooses the best route for the data packets to be sent from the sender to receiver.

Repeater:

a repeater is a communication device used to re generate a signal repeaters are needed so that the signal can travel longer distances with same strength.

Diffrerence between Router and Repeater :

Router:

  • Router are machine that link to two or more netwotk. This functions on a network layer.
  • They are made up of mixture of hardware and software.
  • The network address helps in Routers to determine the best route to a computer or a device.
  • Router use the conceptual and practicle address to link two or more techically different network.

Repeater:

  • The Repeater is used to link the LAN segments.
  • A repeater fronts any packet that has no sporting ability.
  • Repeater don't recognize frames, files and headers. They recognize the signs the represent bits like voltage.
  • They are anlog device that use signals on the wires to whom they are attached.
