Salt is a mineral, in natural form, as a crystallin i.e Rock Salt, It's Chemical formula is NaCl.

It is essential for our life.

It also, gives taste to our food.

And, in the world of Chemistry, salt is defined to be formed when acid and base react with each other. Eg :-

NaOH + HCl => NaCl + H20

Examples of salt are :-

Sodium Chloride - NaCl

Potassium Dichromate - K2Cr2O7

Calcium Chloride - CaCl2

Copper Sulfate - CuSO4

Sodium Bisulfate - NaHSO4
