They are formed naturally over a huge period of time wherein, particles of sand or rock brought in by the sea were deposited along the side of the sea, thus forming a beach. Beaches can be formed artificially by using sand or rocks or both.

Characteristics of a sea beach are:

a) It can be a sandy beach or a rocky beach.

b) Coconut and palm trees that can grow naturally in sea beaches.
