A shadow is the dark shape created when an object stands between sunlight and a surface. The colour of an opaque object actually does not change the colour of a shadow. I think the color of the shadow depends on the surface it lies on, the shadow could be darker or lighter.

Answer:
When light cannot pass through an opaque object, a dark region is formed behind the
object called a shadow. The colour of an opaque object does not affect the colour of the
shadow.
