SHIFTING CULTIVATION

This cultivation is a form of agriculture in which plot of land is cleared by felling the trees and by burning them.the ashes are then mixed with soil and crops are grown. After the soil loses its fertility, the land is abandoned and cultivators move to new plot. This is known as shifting cultivation or slash and burn cultivation.
