Hi !!!
First we will talk about .............
What is Sexual Reproduction .............
The production of new organism from two parents by making use of their sex cells or gametes is called sexual reproduction.
In sexual reproduction, two parents are involved.
One is male which produces male gametes other is female which produces female gametes....
In humans male gametes are called sperms and in female, it is known as Ova.
These gametes fuses while mating and forms zygote.
The zygote develops to form embryo and then to foetus. Finally, it is born as baby.
Now, turning to the point..............
As we know that in asexual reproduction, only one parent is involved. Due to this when DNA is transferred to next generation.
As there is only one parent, so during copying, there is no dominant change.
But in sexual reproduction.....
As the baby is formed by fusion of two cells...
The baby receives one DNA thread from father and one from mother, this combines to give a single character.............
So, due to the reason that two combines, so there is significant variation produced.
Now Advantages........
This variation in useful in many ways...........
):- It is the basis for evolution ...................
):- This variation helps to survive in harsh conditions ...............
Hope this helps...............
