mathematics, a singleton, also known as a unit set, is a set with exactly one element. For example, the set {null } is a singleton containing the element null. The term is also used for a 1-tuple (a sequence with one member).

In mathematics single ton set is know as a unit set , it contains exactly only one element..

eg - set { 3}

you may see in this example , that in this set there is only one element..

more sets (may help you in future)

1) Finite set

If a set is a null set or number of element are limited and countable then it is called as finite set.

eg-

C = {plp is number from 1 to 22 divisible by 4}

C ={ 4 , 8, 12, 16, 20,}

2) Finite set

If a number of elements in a set countable then the set ia called infinite set

eg- 1. set if natural numbers

N = {1, 2, 3....}

2. set if whole numbers

W = {0, 1 , 2 , 3....}

3) Empty set ir null set

There is not a single element in the set which satisfies the given Condition then it is called a null set ir an empty set . Null set is represented by { } or a Symbol of (phi)

eg-

B = {x | x is a natural number between 2 and 3}

B= { }

hope this will help you friend.
