the solenoid is a long coil containing a large number of clothes turns of insulated copper wire
the magnetic field produced by the current carrying solenoid is similar to the magnetic field produced by the bar magnet
the magnetic field lines inside the solenoid are in the form of parallel straight linesone and of the current carrying solenoid ads like a North Pole and the other and as a South Pole show the current carrying solenoid is suspended freely it will come to rest .
