Solute: It is the component of a solution, which is  dissolved in the solvent. It is present in small quantity. Eg: In sugar solution, sugar is thee solute.

Solvent: It is the component of a solution in which the solute is dissolved. It is present in large quantity. Eg: In sugar solution, water is the slovent.

Solution: The combination of a solute and solvent makes a solution. For example: sugar + water = sugar solution
