➡️A solution is a mixture of one substance dissolved in another so the properties are the same throughout.

➡️The solute is the substance being dissolved and the solvent is the part of the solution that does the dissolving. The solute is of molecular size.

➡️In our example of salt water, the solute is the salt. Solvent: this is the substance that makes up the majority of the solution.

Answer :-

•A homogenous mixture of two or more chemically non-reacting substances whose composition can be varied within a certain limit is called solution.

•Solution made with two components is called binary solution. The solution made with three components is called ternary solution and the solution made of four components is called quaternary solution respectively.

•A solution is composed of Solvent and solute.

•Solvent is a substance in which the solute is dissolved.

•Solute is a substance which has to be dissolved in a solvent.

•A solution = Solvent + Solute
