A good source of energy should have the following characteristics: It should do a large amount of work per unit mass or volume - it means that the output energy must be more than the input energy.
... It should be easily accessible - the energy source should be able to provide energy over a long period of time.

Hello!

Here is your answer!

All the natural sources  which we see around are called source of energy.

Starting from   oil, coal, or the sun, which can be used to provide power for light, heat, machines.

Even we're a source of energy.

Now sources of energy is divided into 2. Renewable and Non renewable source of enegry

What is a Renewable source of energy?

Sources of Energy which can be used again after once use are known as renewable source of Energy.

eg:-Wind Energy ,Solar Energy etc

What is a Non renewable source of energy?

Non renewable sources of energy can get depleted after their over use. They take millions of years for their formation.

For eg fossil fuels like oil and petroleum.

What are the characteristics of sources of energy?

1.Should be renewable
2.Should produce large amount of energy
3.Easily available
4.Should not cause any pollution. i.e ecofriendly
5.should be cheap
