Hi. Spyware is a type of malware that secretly monitors a user's activities. It can collect various types of information. They have the capability to change or modify a system's configuration by editing the registry files. They can scan our hard drives and snoop other programs such as chat programs or word processors etc. While doing so, they consistently transfer this information in the background to someone else who will either sell this information or use it for advertising/marketing purposes.
