The given question is that we have to find the value of

 {a}^{2}  - a

where it is termed as a quadratic polynomial.

Mostly all the quadratic polynomial will be equalizes to zero.

 {a}^{2}  - a = 0

 {a}^{2}  = a

a =  \sqrt{a}

the value of a is the value of √a

so, the a takes the value 1 only.

because the value of √1 is always 1.

If a takes any other value rather than 1 , it is not possible,

the closest number to 1 is 2 .

assume a=2 but √a=1.414 which is not equal.

In this case the value 1 only applicable
