Star: Sphere of plasma held together by gravity, undergoing fusion; type of astronomical object consisting of a luminous spheroid of plasma held together by its own gravity.
A star is a very large ball of bright glowing hot matter in space. That matter is called plasma. Stars are held together by gravity. They give out heat and light because they are so hot.
Stars are hot because nuclear reactionshappen inside them. Those reactions are called nuclear fusion. Nuclear fusion makes light and heat and makes bigger and bigger chemical elements. Stars have a lot of hydrogen. Nuclear fusion changes hydrogeninto helium. When a star gets old, it starts to change the helium into other bigger chemical elements, like carbon and oxygen. Fusion makes a lot of energy. The energy makes the star very hot. The energy produced by stars moves (radiates) away from them. Much of the energy leaves as light. The rest leaves as other kinds of electromagnetic radiation.

☆☞ Here is ur answer ☜☆
☆☞ Stars are celestial bodies which are composed of lighter gases like hydrogen and helium and are undergoing fusion reactions constantly to produce immense amount of energy in form of heat and radiations. For example: Sun is a star.
☆☞ Star is a ball of gas held together by it's own gravity .The force of gravity is continuously trying to cause the star to collapse.
☆☞ A star is a massive luminous ball that produce their own light . A star moves along an orbit in the galaxy. For example : Sun
