stimulus is our body's response to the changes in our surroundings. for example, you are in a dark room for a long time and someone suddenly switches on the light, then you feel like covering your eyes. and also when you are out in the sunlight playing games, but when you are tired u come back home and you can't see anything for a short period of time. this is called stimuli.
