A synchro is a generic name for electromagnetic transducers that produce an electric voltage (emf) depending on the angular position of the coil axis in the stator to the rotor axis.
Here is the tranfer function of a synchro:
em = K' Er φ(t) sin ωt
where;
K' is a proportional constant
and φ(t) value is small
