The word 'teacher' may literally mean a person who teaches, but a student has to be grateful enough to understand the fact that a teacher is more than that. A teacher helps make every tiny bit of complicated math or science into a story and might try his or her level best to make you understand the concepts. A teacher is the beginning of every ambition or aspiration on earth. Some might be an inspiration for their own field while some might encourage others to go with what they think is right for them. At the end, they always come back as a role model. Every sensible disciplined student must have realized the worth of a teacher.
There might be strict ones, or the boring or fun ones. But remember it is all because of your perspective, when you admire them for once you will admire them forever, they have given their lives in educating you apart from their own personal lives. Just do them a favour by giving justice to the time they have spent with you; How can you do that? Study and return back to them with a smile and a thank you.
