Some points on terrestrial biome are as follows:-

1. The temperature & light amount will be maximum at the equator.

2. Light & temperature both gets decreased gradually by the pole.

3. Similarity is seen in increasing latitude distance from equator to the the types of vegetation from the sea level.

4. Altitude effect and latitude effect on the temperature is going to be almost same.

Climatic regions based on variation in mean temperature are as follows:-

A. Tropical = 0°-20° latitude

B. Subtropical = 20°-40° latitude

C. Temperate = 40°-60° latitude

D. Arctic and antarctic = 60° - 80° latitude
