Answer:

thermistor is a specific type of resistor that uses a sensor to help regulate cold and heat they can do more than simply regulate temperature they are also used for voltage regulation, volume control, time delays and circuit protection .

three application of thermistors are

they can be used as a temperature sensor

they can be found in everyday appliances such as fire alarm ,oven and refrigerator.

they are also used in digital thermometers and in many Automotive application to measure temperature.

Answer. Thermistor is a heat sensitive resistor, whose resistance varies appreciably with temperature is called thermistor.

Applications. 1. Due to their rapid response to temperature changes, thermistors are use to detect small temperature and to measure very low temperature (= 10 K).

2. They are used to safeguard the heater of the picture tube of a TV set against variation in current.

3. Thermistors are used for voltage stabilisation, temperature control and remote sensing.
