Thermit reaction is a highly exothermic single displacement reaction in which a high reactive metal displace the low reactive metal, the heat which is produce is so large that the metals are formed in molten state.
Example :-
- This reaction of iron oxide with aluminium is used to join railway tracks or cracked parts of machine

Termite Reaction :-
It is a highly Exothermic Reaction (i.e., It produces a lot of heat).The high reactive metal displace metal of low reactivity.
Termite Reaction is given below :-
Fe2O3 + 2Al ---------------> Al2O3 + 2Fe
(Iron Sulphate) + (Aluminum) -------------> (Aluminum Sulphate) + (Iron)

Example (Uses) :-
- Used for joint cracked machinery parts.
- Use for joint railway Tracks
