To measure time we need repetitive phenomenon like swings of pendulum, revolution of earth.

1. Time intervals in our daily life can be measured by using a wrist watch, pendulum clocks, etc..
2. Very small intervals of time like life span of an unstable particle, etc can be measured by using Electrical ossilator, Atomic clocks
3. Very large intervals of time like age of fossil fuels, earth etc.. Can be measured by using Radioactive dating
