a group of cell which have similar structure and. perform similar function is called tissue in plant there are two type of tissue meristematic and permanent tissue which help them to grow

Tissue is group of cell that work together to achieve a certain function. There are two types of tissues Meristematic and Permanent Tissues and it has further division under these two classes. In plants the type of tissue found is Meristematic tissue that help growth at only some some areas of the plant. Meristematic tissue is divided into 3 on the basis of where they are found - Apical, Lateral, and Intercalary Meristem. Apical Meristem is found in the tip of the plant, Lateral meristem is found on both sides of the stem, and intercalary meristem on the base of leaves and in the internodes
