A tissue is a group of cells that have the same characteristics and have a specific function to perform. In our body the tissue has a specific function to perform. Each tissue in our body has a function to perform. With having one function to perform, they do it efficiently. So, the cell is called the structural and functional unit of life. In unicellular organs, the amoeba uses the pseudopodia to intake food. In multicellular organisms, the animals use muscular tissue to move our body and intake food.
