What is a triple bond? How can I identify one? For example in my book it says N2 is a triple bond.

Triple bond : when three pair of electron is shared between the two elements then it is said as triple bond .
yes , Nitrogen exhibit the property of triple bond as It shares three pair of electron to complete it's octet .
