Vector quantity has both magnitude and direction
while scalar quantity has only magnitude (size )
while scalar quantity has only magnitude (size )

It is a quantity which needs magnitude as well as direction to define itself.
Ex - Displacement and velocity
Scalar Quantity -
It is a quantity which needs only magnitude to define itself.
Ex - Distance and speed
