A virtual image is formed when reflected rays appear to meet. Such images cannot be obtained on the screen. Plane mirrors, convex mirrors, and concave lenses always form virtual images.

Answer:

The image in a mirror is virtual image. It is seen inside the mirror. This kind of image is not received on a screen!

If we stand infront of a plane mirror and try to touch the image formed in the mirror. We can't do so. This is because the image seems to be behind the mirror. Such an image is called a virtual image.
