virtual image refers to the fact that, image doesn’t actually exist, but it almost seems like it exists.
you are looking at a mirror, and see a bottle in the mirror. In reality, there is no bottle in the mirror, it is a reflection of bottle in front of mirror.
The image you see inside the mirror is called “virtual image”.
